fair share for women artists

The artists’ alliance fair share! has counted: currently 22 women artists (compared to 110 male artists) are currently on show in the Neue Nationalgalerie. That is only 16.7%. We propose a further 110 women artists, including photographers, filmmakers and textile artists, who should be represented here and in comparable collections. These are outstanding women artists of modernism, many of them widely unknown and unresearched, although they created an independent oeuvre and were highly esteemed in their time.
