Origami – bouquet of flowers Time: 16:15 – 18:30

Origami – the art of folding paper – originated in its modern form in the mid-19th century when Japan opened up to Western influences. The variety of forms of the old Asian folding technique is very large, especially in the area of the flowers. With practice, long-lasting and impressive bouquets can be made from colored paper. In the workshop you will learn step by step the basic shapes of the origami folding technique: blintz and kite basic shapes as well as several instructions for folding origami flowers.

Introduction to Chinese Calligraphy Time: 10:00 – 13:00

Calligraphy has a long tradition and a high status in China. With a brush, the characters are brought to paper with verve. Calligraphy created in this way applies as well as e.g. B. Chinese paintings as art objects. Characters are often incorporated into images as part of the overall artwork. In the course you will learn the art of brushwork. You will learn the basic strokes, the first Hàn Zì and the correct posture and breathing.

Introduction to Chinese Painting Time: 14:00 – 17:00

In the course, an introduction to the philosophical basics of Chinese ink painting is given and the different painting styles and the importance of the materials (brush, ink, paper) are presented. You can practice different painting techniques and design typical motifs such as lotus flowers. You will learn how, through the combination of ink and rice paper, only a few brushstrokes are sufficient to create your very own forms of illustration. With the techniques you have learned, it is easy for you to become creative yourself.
