The Chinese character for “fan” (扇) is etymologically derived from a feathered picture under one roof. Traditionally, there are subjects in different forms (for example in the form of a leaf, an oval or a crescent) made of different materials such as silk, bamboo or feathers.
Based on the basics of Chinese ink painting and Chinese poetry, we will paint the subjects such as Lotus, bamboo, fish etc. In the course, you will paint a round fabric silk fan that is perfect as a souvenir or gift.
